KVT visit to Richard Hannon's yard - 9th April
We had a most enjoyable day, the rain more or less held off and the new Owners' Stand was much appreciated by all. The day concluded at The Shears where an excellent lunch was served whilst Richard, in excellent form, enjoyed a glass or two of wine with us.
Langavat - He has done very well since I last saw him and he is obviously held in some regard by Tony Gorman, the head man at Herridge where he is stabled. A first start in May is now projected.
Redact - Richard told me that he has a lot of faith in Redact and was pleased he has been dropped two pounds as a result of the Kempton race. Once he has come in his coat he should be back at the races. The Berry Bros & Rudd Spring Cup at Newbury over the straight mile on Saturday 20th April is still a possibility but might come a bit soon.
The Gatling Boy - He looked really well and strode out in fine style. The £200,000 Tattersalls Million (2.55)over 1 1/4 miles at Newmarket is a possibility on Thursday April 18th and a decision will be made early next week.
