Welcome to Kennet Valley Thoroughbreds

Welcome to Kennet Valley Thoroughbreds in our 21st year, offering Limited Partnerships in flat racehorses together with management services.

Nick Robinson, a former President of the Racehorse Owners Association and one of the founding directors of the British Horseracing Board (BHB), founded Kennet Valley Thoroughbreds in 1987, the first Limited Partnership syndication company of its kind.  He was publisher of the racing and breeding publishing group, Pacemaker Publications, from 1974 to 1988 and was responsible for introducing the late Robert Sangster to horseracing.

Nick has been involved in owning racehorses most of his life, amongst them the triple Oaks winner Dibidale and the champion Irish two-year-old filly Kilijaro.  In 1987 he launched the first Kennet Valley Thoroughbreds partnership with four yearlings bought at Goffs to compete in the inaugural Cartier Million race at Dublin’s Phoenix Park.  Astoundingly all four horses qualified to run with
Miss Demure and French Pretender finishing second and third to win IR£300,000 between them!

Kennet Valley horses have continued to have success in these valuable Sales races, winning the Doncaster Sales race with
Cape Fear in 2003 and placing a further two times in the Goffs Sales Race.  We have also had winning success at Group level with Miss Demure, Contract Law, Firebreak, Gateman and Drumfire.
